About Us

How it all started.

Niwa foundation was founded by Mr. Atuhaire Wellen in 2016. It started as individual support to the people through paying school fees for children in different class and levels, assisting schools and churches. Constructing bore holes to the community which later become a foundation and registered in 2022. Since then the foundation has been funded and managed by the director.

Our objectives.

  • To create awareness about the government schemes and policies of developmental programs to the society.
  • To provide educational guidance for the needy.
  • To assist students and graduates to avail job opportunities.
  • To provide guidance to the public to get the government certificates, etc,..
  • To provide guidance for availing financial assistance(loans, investment, etc ,..) in both public and private sector.
  • To guide the public to get medical facilities on the right places on right time.
  • To conduct vocational training programs.

School Construction

The Community's biggest problem is a modern learning environment for the pupils. The drive will also help fundraise for the cause. Join us too.

Sports programs

Sports is a vital to the holistic development of young people, fostering their physical, social and emotional health. The NIWA Foundation Christmas tournament pulled youth for social networking and exchange programs.

Mr. Wellen Atuhaire

Founder - Executive Director

Mr. Wellen had since 2016 been offering bursaries to bright students using his savings and through mobilising friends before the idea was plugged into the Foundation.

Ms. Syria Nahurira

Program Administrator

Ms. Syria is a hardworking dynamic team player and passionate about making change in any community. She focuses on quality assurance as KPI and also leads the team's fundraising department.

Ms. Loice Natukunda

Customer Service Manager

Ms. Loice oversees business at NIWA Gardens for fully furnished Accomodation, bars and other recreation services. 60% of the Profits supports NIWA Foundation.

Classroom construction

With the help of the community, we are hoping to construct a four classroom block, a discent kitchen and toilet. We also call upon any well wishers out there, to give a hand for the success of this campaign. Use our Donation Button bellow.
